Department of Atomic Energy in association with the Graphic Era Hill University organised a “DAE Workshop cum Exhibition” at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun during November 13 to 15, 2018.

The workshop was designed for interdisciplinary students and teachers from the various colleges under the university and special talks from speakers from various Units under DAE (TMC, AMD, BARC, HWB, etc) were held.

Shri. V. K. Khilnani, Director( Operation), HWB delivered a talk on “ NonNuclear Applications of Heavy Water”.

A meeting with Vice Chancellor (GEHU), Director(GEHU), Director(Pharmacy & Biotechnology) and professors from above fields was arranged with Director (Operations), HWB after the Talk. It was proposed that the University can have a small group which can come out with some specific applications using Heavy Water or DDW and then approach HWB with a proposal.

Heavy Water Board also participated with an exhibition stall in the event and attracted huge crowd of teachers and students from fields of Engineering, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, etc.

The Exhibition was presented by Smt. S. Satyashwini, SO/D from HWB.
