The Eighth DAE-BRNS Biennial Symposium on “Emerging Trends in Separation Science and Technology (SESTEC-2018)” was organized at BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa during May 23-26, 2018. Numerous delegates from various academic and R&D institutions from all over the country including CSIR labs, IITs, NITs, universities and DAE & DAE units (BARC, HWB, NPCIL, IGCAR), various industries from India and Abroad participated in SESTEC-2018. The event was based on invited lectures, oral & poster presentations and an exhibition of scientific equipments. Shri S. K. Nayak, Dir (Tech), HWB presented a paper in the SESTEC.

Interactions with delegates and exhibitors of other organisation were inspiring and satiating. HWB also created awareness among the participants about its current diversified activities as well as new emerging trends and showcased its capabilities in delivering tailor made organo-phosphorous solvents and other specialised chemicals at Industrial scale.
