Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy is an analytical method used to determine the structure of organic molecules in solution and advanced medical imaging techniques using aliphatic and aromatic deuterated compounds / solvents
Widely used NMR Solvents include Chloroform-d, Dimethyl sulphoxide-d6, Acetone-d6, Acetonitrile-d3 and Benzene-d6 are being synthesized along with few acids and alkalis at HWP, Baroda and sold through BRIT.
Being the largest producer of Heavy Water in the World, HWB promotes utilization of Heavy Water for development of deuterated compounds through collaborations with Indian Companies, Research Institutes / Academics.
