Indian science Congress is organised every year by the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) under the aegis of Ministry of Science & Technology. The 106th Indian Science Congress was held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab from 3rd January to 7th January, 2019.
The 106th Indian Science Congress was organised on the theme of FUTURE INDIA – Science and Technology in order to provide platform to researchers, academicians and industry champions to share their findings with the scholars zealous to excavate scientific findings and also to instigate budding science and technology enthusiasts to do meaningful extradition for ever-growing industry need and sustainable socio-economic system. The conference showcased what is being done, what can be done and what would define the future of Science and Technology in India.
The 106th Indian Science Congress was graced by the presence of Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. Cabinet Ministers including HRD, Law, IT, Science and Technology attended the conference during various sessions. Nobel Laureates and scientists from all over the world also joined the programme.
Heavy Water Board put up its exhibition stall during the 106th Indian Science Congress. Participants from various industries & academia and college students visited the exhibition stall of HWB. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forest & Climate Change also visited the exhibition of HWB and had interaction with HWB officials. The HWB officials explained about various activities of HWB to the visitors.
The pavilion of Department of Atomic Energy was awarded with the “Most Informative Pavilion Award” during the conference.
